More and more women are active in the job market but, sadly, women in senior leadership positions are still rare, particularly in the financial sector. In 2019, women CFOs only represent 34% globally*. Gender diversity is more than an ethical requirement: it has a measurable effect on the way shareholders interact with companies**, and it gives therefore a competitive edge.
Creating opportunities for women with an international background is particularly meaningful if applied to education, and it is even more forward-looking when applied to Finance. That is the goal of the Women in Finance Project: fostering gender equality in Finance through higher education and rewarding outstanding female students with a 50% partial tuition waiver.

Your help is important – Through a donation, you can open the doors of a Bocconi MSc Finance to brilliant, motivated female students. With your support, they could become the future protagonists of the financial sector. An MSc from Bocconi would be an amazing door opener to kick start their career: according to FT 2018 rankings, Bocconi’s MSc in Finance is 7th in Europe and 8th worldwide. By giving the opportunity to access top quality higher education to more and more brilliant women, we take effective measures to narrow the gender gap in the workplace. A donation to the young, motivated students of the Women in Finance Project can bring us all one step closer to a much needed change. A change for Women and for Society, that can start from Finance.
